Session Recording

Chatting about Weighing/OPC, beginners tips, etc.

Today was a very pleasant session with a lot of interaction. We chatted about weighing/OPC, beginners tips, performance, etc. Also I created a new page with participant contacts which will help this interaction between all participants.

Note: I faced some problems with missing audio when starting. Try pressing the pause button and then the play button again.

    Hi Arne,

This session was very useful. I would like to share couple of hints which may be useful.

    1) If you are using an input field with allowed values, always ensure that the field label is longer than the maximum length of the allowed values in the list. Since allowed value descriptions are fetched in PI sheet during runtime, system doesn’t adjust the column width in the PI sheet automatically. Instead, it fits to the length of the column header.

    2) Avoid using any special characters in the allowed values / descriptions as I didn’t have good experience when I used some of them. I used to get a XSL whitespace error whenever there is a special character in the allowed value. When I removed them, the error is gone!

Again, these are just based on my experiences.

    Thanks,
    Maddy.
