In the end it was a nice discussion on the ongoing project in his company. Since the discussion covered a good deal of internal politics I won&#8217;t disclose any names here. But I would like to make a general remark on this.<\/p>\n<p>Many companies &#8211; especially in a regulated environment &#8211; are very strict on creating a lot of custom coding. Of course it all adds up to the load of validation (specifications, testing,&#8230;). However in the case of PI Sheets this can lead to a lot of restrictions and complex workarounds. If you build the right function modules in a clever way you can make PI Sheets very powerful. Also the symbols and generation scopes in XSteps which require BAdI implementations add a lot of flexibility. The PI Sheet and XStep technology is really meant to be used together with some own coding.
